I'm excited about this new school year. I could not be more thrilled to continue teaching the Gifted and Talented program and Reading By Design this school year.
All of the small groups of students in our class will set goals, stretch their thinking, and be encouraged to meet new challenges. I’m looking forward to working with you and watching the students grow as learners!
A little about myself...My hometown is Lubbock, TX where I grew up and went to school at Frenship ISD. I then attended Texas Tech University where I graduated with a bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education. I have taught in Midland for 19 years and this is my 11th year at MACS. My teaching career consists of first grade, a year in kindergarten, 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade math. My current role as the dyslexia and GT teacher is amazing.
I'm married and have 3 kids, 2 dogs, and two grandbabies! They are so much fun!
When I'm not at school, I enjoy traveling, scrapbooking, playing tennis, and just spending time with my family.
