Hello! Growing up in Mississippi afforded me a lot of time on the beach and lots of fishing.  In 1987, as a junior in highschool, my family moved to West Texas; quite a shock!  Over the years I have come to love the dry heat, dirt and tumbleweeds!  It took some time for me to start my teaching career, and in 2004 I finally landed my first teaching gig.  I have taught 4th - 12th grade, and I honestly LOVE teaching 4th grade.  

Some of my favorite past-times are gardening, Dungeons and Dragons, and hiking in the mountains of New Mexico and Colorado.  I love spending time with my family and friends, supporting local artists, and finding new places to dine.  My son and his family live in Tacoma, Washington (wayyyyy up north) and he's an Army Ranger and a brand new daddy!  My daugher lives here in Midland and you can find her being all charming while serving some fine dining at Cowboy Prime.

Finally, I have two pets of the feline persuasion, Ellie Bellie and Pumpkin.  My previous students have loved hearing the tales of these two very different sisters and their constant anctics.  Above all, I intend for us to have a wonderful and thrilling school year.  I look forward to meeting and greeting all of my students and their parents very soon.
