Hello MACS families, welcome to the 22-23 school year. Last year was a great first year at MACS for me and I am looking forward to making year 2 just as great or better. It was a blast getting to know your children and seeing them grow throughout the year. This past June I had the opportunity to take a group of MACS students to Boston, MA for a Social Studies trip and it was a blast as well. This June, I we will be traveling to our nation's capital, Washington, DC., where we will get to see sights such as the White House, the Capital building, Supreme Court, the Pentagon, monuments such as the Lincoln and Vietnam Memorials, George Washington's home off the Potomac River, the Smithsonian Museums, and The Holocaust Museum. I am hoping to take as many students as possible this year. Looking forward to making this a great year as the 7th Graders will be learning Texas History, and our 8th Graders will be learning US History from Colonization to Reconstruction.

If you want to know a little more about me, I have lived in West Texas for most of my life and graduated from Pecos High School back when pagers were still a thing. I then continued my education at TCU, Sul Ross State University and eventually Grand Canyon University where I earned my Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees. I joined the National Guard in 2007 where I served for 4 years. I then worked as a Juvenile Probation Officer where I learned of my passion for serving others, especially our youth. During this time I was also an elected School Board member and a CASA volunteer. I then worked towards my teaching certificate and became a teacher. I have 10s years of experience teaching between 4th grade and high school with all subjects. I also have coaching experience, coaching football, basketball, tennis, track, and cross country. I am currently on my Parish Council. I am married to a beautiful wife and have 2 amazing sons, 3 cats, and 2 dogs. My goal is to make a positive impact on my students, and most importantly your children. Let’s have a great year.
