Mr. Derek S. Wooten

Hello! My name is Mr. Wooten, and I’ve been a proud member of the Midland Academy Charter School family since 2010. I teach elementary music and lead the middle school orchestra, where I have the joy of helping students discover their love for music.

When I’m not teaching, I love spending time with my wife, Stephanie, and our beloved pets—our cats and dog keep life lively and fun! We’re big fans of the great outdoors and enjoy camping together whenever we get the chance.

I’m excited for another fantastic year of learning and making music with all of you!
