Kelli Jenkins

I am a West Texas girl through and through. I graduated from Midland Christian School.  I attended Texas Tech University and graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Human Development and Family Studies and a Master’s degree in Agricultural Education.  I student-taught in Idalou, Texas, where I fell in love with a small class-to-teacher ratio.  I started my journey in education in 2009 at Milam Magnet Elementary, where I taught dance to Pre-K through sixth graders.  In 2014, I decided to return and get my Principal's Certification and grow up as an educator to become both certified in Elementary Education and Elementary leadership.  I became a kindergarten teacher at a small Christian school in Odessa, Texas, where I fell back in love with the small class to teacher ratio. I am excited about bringing my love of math and science to MACS.

I became an educator to make a difference in a student’s life.  I believe that all children should have a cheerleader.  Someone that loves them no matter who they are and where they come from.  I am a positive light in how I lead a classroom and want all my students to leave excited about their time there.  I recently polled my students to describe me as a teacher, and here is what they said.  “She is joyful, intelligent, inspiring, kind, loving, fun, and caring."

I am  happily married to my best friend and have two beautiful children who keep me on my toes.
