Dr. Blake Hightower

Greetings to the wonderful students and parents of Midland Academy Charter School!  I am very excited to be teaching 7th and 8th grade Mathematics this year.  My wife and I are high school sweethearts and we have been married for 40 years.  We raised two wonderful children right here in Midland, Texas.  We are now proud grandparents to three wonderful g-babies (Ages 11, 13, 15)!

I have worn many hats throughout my educational career (teacher, coach, and administrator). My favorite content areas are Mathematics and Science, so I am in my element here at MACS!  I received my B.S. in Elementary Education from Sul Ross State University. I received my first  M.Ed. from The University of Texas at Brownsville in Educational Technology and a second M.Ed. in School Administration from Sul Ross.  I finished my university pursuits at Texas Tech University, where I earned my Doctorate in Educational Leadership.  

I look forward to working with the amazing students here at Midland Academy Charter School!  My conference time is from 3:25 - 4:10 p,m. each day. Please  feel free to contact me through email, Class Dojo, or by phone.
