You may recognize me from the other hall, but I could not be more thrilled to be teaching the Gifted and Talented program and Reading By Design this school year. All the small groups of students in our class will set goals, stretch their thinking, and be encouraged to meet the challenges. I'm looking forward to working with you and watching the students grow as learners!
A little about myself...My hometown is Lubbock, TX where I grew up and went to school at Frenship ISD. I then attended Texas Tech University where I graduated with a bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education. I have taught in Midland for 18 years and this is my 10th year at MACS. My teaching career consists of first grade, a year in kindergarten, and more recently, 3rd, 4th and 5th grade math. I am ready and very excited to be in my new role this year.
I'm married and have 3 kids, 2 dogs, and the newest addition... a grandbaby! She is so much fun!
When I'm not at school, I enjoy traveling, scrapbooking, playing tennis, and just spending time with my family.
