    Family Engagement Plan 

    Midland Academy Charter School will provide a nurturing environment where all students are motivated & challenged to pursue goals to reach their maximum potential.

    Activities & Evidence

    • We will involve parents in the development of our Family Engagement Plan.  

    • Present the plan at the annual Title I meeting.

    • Create opportunities for parents to participate on our campuses.

    • Provide relevant information on a frequent basis through class dojo and website. 

    • PTO monthly meetings.

    • We will involve parents in the process of school review and school improvement.

    • Communicate plans and required documents in English, Spanish, and offer additional translations as needed.

    • Post plans on the school website.

    • Present plans at the annual Title I meeting and review annually.   

    • We will hold an annual meeting to inform families of our school’s participation in a school-wide Title I program, explain Title I requirements, and explain the rights of parents to be involved in Title I Programs.

    • Invite families to the Title I Annual Meeting by sending information via class dojo, website, and MACS social media sites.

    • Offer the Title I Annual Meeting virtually and access to recording of meeting to encourage maximum participation. 

    • We will provide information in a timely manner about Title I Programs that include a description and explanation of the school’s curriculum, how we measure student progress, and what academic achievement standards students are expected to meet.  




    • Provide information on the state’s expectations on our school website and social media.

    • Share academic achievement expectations and information on a frequent basis.

    • Send individual student progress and performance reports to families.  

    • We will, at the request of parents, provide opportunities to meet and formulate suggestions, solutions, and involvement regarding decisions about the education of their children. 

    • Scheduling parent-teacher conferences on any given day during the teacher’s conference period.  

    • Convene special program participation meetings as often as needed to help the student. 

    • We will provide each parent with information and instructions for accessing an individual student report about the performance of his/her child on state assessments and other local assessment tools.  

    • Instructions for accessing performance reports will be communicated on school’s website.

    • We will provide families with individual performance data as well as assistance with interpreting information.  

    • Timely reporting of online grades, progress reports, and report cards.

    • Timely reporting of performance on local assessments.

    • Links to helpful information on reviewing and interpreting student data.

    • Tutorial and intervention opportunities.  

    • We will coordinate, provide technical assistance, and other support necessary to promote active family participation in the planning and implementation of our family engagement plan.
